Posting Colors at Illinois Society Children of the American Revolution Conference, March 2012 
Illinois SAR Gift Presentation to NSSAR The
Illinois SAR donated several items for the SAR Library and CAAH to
the National Society during the Leadership meeting in Louisville on
March 3, 2012. Shown are (left to right) President General Larry
J. Magerkurth, Stephen Bradley, Jim DeGroff, and Jim Say.
Magerkurth and DeGroff are holding a framed charcoal
lithograph of the early colonial forests of America
by prominent national artist, Richard Harrington of South Lima,
New York. Also donated were two
framed Connecticut payroll notes signed by the state
treasurer for a soldier's service during the Revolutionary War.
Volumes of several books from the early 1800s on The Life of Washington
were donated to the SAR Library. These generous gifts were made
from the Illinois SAR through the generousity of Compatriot Kent Worley.
Compatriot
Bradley, a member of the Springfield IL SAR Chapter donated a framed
photo showing attendees at the National SAR Congress held in
Springfield IL in July 1929.
